Acid Stain/Reactive Stain
Acid staining concrete will produce beautiful, unique coloring to any concrete surface. Architectural Enhancements’ Concrete Acid Stains work by penetrating the surface and reacting chemically in the concrete. The acid lightly etches the surface, allowing the stain to penetrate more easily. These concrete stains are translucent and the color they provide will vary depending upon the condition of the substrate. They can be used to achieve rich and varied earth-tones that resemble natural stone, marble, leather, or even wood. This product is perfect for giving a unique character and custom look to concrete floors, walls, patios, walkways, driveways, pool decks, and balconies.

Mineral Stain
Architectural Enhancements’ Mineral Concrete Stains produce a beautiful, translucent result that is similar to acid staining concrete, yet eliminates the need for neutralizing and cleaning prior to sealing. While the pre-neutralized acid will not etch the surface as it does in reactive form, the result is a more consistent color that closely resembles the effect of the acid. Many contractors find the time and work savings of eliminating neutralizing and clean-up to be preferred. Architectural Enhancements’ Mineral Concrete Stain will achieve looks that are similar to acid stains and are perfect for concrete floors and walls, pillars, patios, walkways, driveways, and pool decks.

Water-Based Stain
Go beyond the color palette of acid or mineral stains to use one of the 18 less subdued colors of Architectural Enhancements’ Water-Based Concrete Stains, which experienced artisans can mix to broaden their options.
Architectural Enhancements’ Water Based Concrete Stains penetrate concrete to produce permanent colors, however, no chemical reaction occurs, so the color is more consistent. These Stains are free from solvents and acids and are low in VOCs, so they are among the safest to apply - making them a favorite for interior projects.

Tru-Gel Stain Additive
Architectural Enhancements Tru-Gel is a thickening agent that is added to any Architectural Enhancements stain for vertical coloring applications. Tru-Gel allows the stain to stay in place without drips and runs that are otherwise a nuisance.
