Integral Colors for Concrete

Perhaps the easiest and most popular method used for coloring newly placed concrete or overlays is integral coloring admixtures which add color to the mix prior to pouring or spreading.  Architectural Enhancements’ Concrete Mix Colors, also called Integral Color, provides a fade-resistant and long-lasting color that beautifies standard concrete.  It often provides a base color for color layering with Architectural Enhancements’ Stains and Architectural Enhancements’ Hardeners and Releases to achieve the multi-tonal look of natural stone or brick or tile.

Architectural Enhancements’ Integral Color for concrete is a powder-based, iron oxide pigment that remains the preferred form of admixture for integrally coloring concrete.  It is lighter weight, lower cost, and provides greater concentration for better tinting strength.  It can be used for ready mix textured concrete, pre-cast, cast-in-place, architectural concrete blocks, pavers, and tilt-up concrete.  It is also used in cementicious overlays and meets ASTM standard C979.  Architectural Enhancements’ Concrete Mix Colors are available in 46 of the most popular shades available in powder form.  Custom Integral Colors can be produced as needed.

Architectural Enhancements’ Integral Colors are packaged in repulpable paper bags which get soggy when wet and disintegrate during mixing for easy and clean addition to ready mixed concrete.  These repulpable bags are available for both 5 and 6 sack concrete mixes.  For Overlays, Integral Colors are available in precision-measured dissolvable plastic bags for easy and exacting color matches in 5 gallon buckets or bags of Architectural Enhancements’ overlays.  For Mortar Mix, Integral Colors are premeasured for an 80 lb. mix.
